In 1985, the Sangsin company was founded in South Korea, specializing in two primary production activities: the manufacturing of rechargeable (secondary) battery components such as battery housing, external modules for ESS energy storage systems, electric breakers, and connectors, as well as the injection molding of car parts.
In addition to producing parts for electric cars, Sangsin EDP also supplies products for smartphones, laptops, electric tools, bicycles, scooters, and drones. The company operates three plants in South Korea, two in China, one in Malaysia, and one in Hungary.
Sangsin Hungary Kft. began producing battery parts, including enclosures, breaker units, fuses, and clamp plates in 2018. They selected Hungary as the location for their first European plant due to the availability of skilled workers and the continuously expanding battery industry segment.
